He was predeceased by: his father Ed Ruth; his daughter Elizabeth (Beth); his grandson Jaxson; his sister Lisa Kibbie; his mother Donna Griffin; and his stepfather Gene Griffin.
He is survived by: his wife Kerri Landgren Ruth; his sons, Dan (Rachel) and Adam (Samantha); and his grandchildren, Coen, Aubrie Schlagenhauff, Bennett, Madelyn Ruth, Kelty, Alanah Miller, Landon and Jakob Ruth. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to St. Thomas Lutheran Church or to the family for later designation.
