He was predeceased by: his father Danny Daugherty; his grandparents, Rex, Ardis Seitzinger (Eskelsen), Darrell and Juanita Daugherty (Hutchinson); his stepsiblings, Teri and John; and his stepfather Hebert Peters (Herb).

He is survived by: his mother Jill Peters of Murrieta, California; his brother Tony Peters (Holly); his stepbrother Steve Peters (Judy) of Hartley, Iowa; his nephew Huxley Peters; and his stepmother Mary Beth Daugherty of Sioux City, Iowa. He is also survived by several nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
