With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Cami Marie Cain of Omaha, Nebraska, born in York, Nebraska, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Cami Marie left this world on October 19, 2024 at the age of 37, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She is survived by: her parents, Richard Cain and Jayne Cain; her siblings, Cassie Robinson, Casey Cain, Calli Cain and Mandi Behn; and her close friend Mandi. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, her 3 beloved cats, and many dear friends.

She participated in flu and COVID vaccine clinics, even appearing on local news in 2023 to encourage vaccinations in her community. She also shared her insights and compassion through her writing, including a blog she wrote for one of her 3 employers, the Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) Hospice Care, during the COVID-19 pandemic (link).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations go to the Nebraska Humane Society in Cami's memory, in accordance with her living will. They also encourage donations be given to supporting suicide prevention or nonprofit hospice care services (e.g., the VNA) —two causes close to her heart.
