She was predeceased by: her parents, Betsy Pristou and Robert Pristou; and her husband Edward "Eddie" Oakley King, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Edward "Trace" Oakley King, III (Jacquie) and Laura King Lynch (Joe); her grandchildren, Samuel Lynch, Lainey Lynch (Ayden), Ava Lynch, Oakley King and Claire Lynch; her siblings, Pam Pristou Freiheit (Bill), Paige Pristou Whistine (Bob), Robin Pristou and Gar Pristou (Nanci); and her sister-in-law Kay Moody. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
A memorial gathering was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Simpson Funeral Home (5160 Peters Creek Rd, Roanoke, VA 24019). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Greene Memorial United Methodist Church (402 2nd St SW, Roanoke, VA 24011).
