He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles J. Ortleb and Nora V. Ortleb; and his sister Catherine Young. He is survived by: his wife Jean M. Ortleb; his grandchildren, Cassidy, Kim, London, Brooks and Willow; and his brother Peter Ortleb.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Columbkille Catholic Church (200 E Sixth St #2250, Papillion, NE 68046).

Contributions in Charles' memory may be made to Nebraska Humane Society.
