He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Schon and Winona Schon. He is survived by: his son Shane Benscoter; his grandchildren, Shayne Coldwell, Jaslene Morales and Padilla; his great grandchild Isabella Morales; and his sister Bonnie DiBaise. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
A procession was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 8:15 AM to 9:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Funeral Home (4712 S 82nd St, Ralston, NE 68127). A graveside service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Omaha National Cemetery (14250 Schram Rd, Omaha, NE 68138).
