She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Varner and Verna Varner (Schoening); her brother Mel Varner; her brother-in-law Andy Gohlinghorst; her nephews, Andy Gohlinghorst, Jr. and Craig Lainson; and her friend Bernard Kamarad.

She is survived by: her sister JoAnn Gohlinghorst of Council Bluffs; her sister-in-law Marilyn Varner of Seward, NE; her nieces and nephews, Martin Gohlinghorst of St. Joseph, MO, Mel "Toby" Varner (Karin) of Lincoln, NE, Stephany Lainson (Gohlinghorst) of Council Bluffs, Macy Albertson (Varner) of Bakersfield, CA and Monica Gohlinghorst of Council Bluffs; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Grant, Emily, Claire Varner, Jamie Lainson and Ally Hotze (Lainson).
