He is survived by: his sister Bessie Phipps; his former wife Karen; his children, Davey, Sheryl Phipps, Carla Schaffer (John), Tim Carter (Chris), David B. Phipps (Jennifer), Eric Phipps (Laura) and Kelli Dumont (Chad); and his brothers, Dr. Ray Phipps (Wilma), Dr. Lloyd Phipps (Jan) and Bernie Phipps (Wanda). He is also survived by grandchildren; great grandchildren.
