He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Stanley Hemphill and Guinevere Nadine Lembke; and his brother Melvin'Stanley'Hemphill. He is survived by: his daughter Leslie Johnston (Craig) of Overland Park, KS; his wife Ruth Rush-Johnston; and his daughter Peggy Henry (John) of Plattsmouth, NE. He is also survived by five grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
