Tim Birkby wrote a sympathy message

“Don was our neighbor on Vernon Ave, we met him and became friends instantly. At a later time he introduced us to Cheryl. We shared many good times, laughs, and joy. Don, visited often about his family and how proud he was of everyone. Our only regret is that we didn’t meet sooner in life. Peace and love to you all! Tim and Donna”

“Don was our next door neighbor for years on Vernon Ave. My husband Jim and Don became very good friends and Don was like family to us. He was the best neighbor anyone could have asked for and was truly missed when he moved. We managed to see him a few times when he would come back to the old neighborhood to visit with Cheryl. I also worked at Cintas for a couple of years (which was his old workplace) and he would pop in occasionally say "Hi" He was one of the "good guys" for sure. Kathy Ward”
