She was predeceased by: her husband Therman James Nicholsen (Nick); her mother Velma G. Loghry; her brother Paul E. Loghry; her grandparents, John and Ethel Modlin; and her sister-in-law Marion Rasmussen (Joshua).

She is survived by: her sister Lois Jean Lockhart-Schmidt; her children, James Therman Nicholsen (Kathryn), Steven Nicholsen (Judy) and Shirley Garcia (Ramon "Ray"); her grandchildren, Darcy Kayl (John), Joren Nicholsen, Reanna Nicholsen (Evan Borisenko) and Eric Nicholsen (Natalie); her great grandchildren, Balen, Ava and Edwin Kayl; and her granddaughter Eleanor Nicholsen. She is also survived by her grandparents with the support of many aunts and uncles.
