It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Jean Lanning (Omaha, Nebraska), born in Carroll, Iowa, who passed away on April 30, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gene Hoffman and Eleanor Hoffman; her son Michaeland Patrick; her husband Tom Lanning; her brothers, Robert Hoffman (Rob) and James Hoffman (Jim); and her siblings-in-law, Mary Margaret Wiles (Jim) and Ed Lanning.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas III and Mary Ellen; her sister-in-law Charlotte Hoffman; her sons, Michael Lanning (Kristin) and Patrick Lanning; and her grandsons, Alex Lanning Byarlay (Nate Byarlay) and Jack Lanning. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations be made to CUES.
