He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Schmitt and Beatrice Schmitt (Timp). He is survived by: his wife Nancy Schmitt (Kucera); his children, Tim Schmitt (Patti), Michelle Paladino (Michael) and Charlene Bragg (Matt); his siblings, Neal Schmitt (Kara), Mark Schmitt (Diane) and Jan Cummins (Chuck); and his grandchildren, Ash Schmitt, Logan Schmitt, Triston Paladino, Ashton Paladino and Noah Bragg. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
In lieu of plants and flowers, the family invites memorial donations to the St. Isidore's Church Flower Fund, a fitting tribute to Duane's many years of dedication to planting, nurturing and beautifying the church gardens throughout the seasons.
