He was predeceased by: his wife Evelyn Elgersma (Dykstra); his parents, Dick Elgersma and Josie Elgersma; and his siblings, Bill Elgersma and Jean Sladky.
He is survived by: his sisters, Tracy Van Hofwegen and Carol Gilman; his children, Rick Elgersma (Monique), Rob Elgersma, Gina Hostetler (Mike) and Annette Beaumont (Mitch); and his grandchildren, Katherine, Aaron, Alyssa, Leah, Tyler, Lucas and Trenton.
Memorial donations may be made to Sioux Falls Christian School and the Dordt University BJ Haan Worship Center Expansion Fund.
