He was predeceased by : his wife Sally; his parents, Jay Malashock and Ruth Malashock; his brother Stanley Malashock; and his son-in-law Bob Egermayer.

He is survived by : his children, Mark Malashock (Deborah), Jim Malashock and Jan Egermayer; his grandchildren, Julie (Ari Rabin-Havt), Matt Egermayer, Scott Egermayer (Tristar), Joshua, Joseph and John Malashock; and his brother Robert Malashock (Norma).
