Elson Heggen Obituary
We bid farewell to Elson Heggen of Omaha, Nebraska, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 12, 2025 at the age of 87. Elson touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Talmai Heggen and Stella Orvick Heggen; and his brother-in-law Bill Langston. He is survived by: his wife Judy Knittle Rea; his sons, Todd (Ellen), Brad (Beth) and Scot (Jennifer); his stepchildren, Rob Rea (Kathy Thompson) and Sherry Rea Wilson (Scott); his siblings, Lowell Heggen (Vanetta), Cheryl Langston and Orlys Maassen; and his grandchild Omaha. He is also survived by 3 step-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church (1101 E Summit St, Red Oak, IA 51566).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
