He was predeceased by: his father Bruce Donelson; his stepfather Blaine Ward; and his niece Kaitline Donelson. He is survived by: his mother Noreen Ward; his siblings, Paul Donelson, Amy Huelle and Susan Mong; his brother-in-law Grant Mong; and his significant other Annie Faubel.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home (5701 Center St, Omaha, NE 68106).
