He was predeceased by: his son Jerry Zywiec; his great grandchild Landen Oakley; his siblings, Lonnie, Ray, Eddie, Peter, Alois, Mary, Clara, Irene, Elsie, Elaine, Theresa and Patsy; and his in-laws, Dominic and Raphaela Kosiba.
He is survived by: his wife Delores "Dee" Zywiec (Kosiba); his children, Gary Zywiec (Cindy) of Columbus and Sherri Zywiec of Omaha; his grandchildren, Nicholas Zywiec of Columbus, Abbi Oakley (Tyler) of Columbus, Cole Zywiec (Cara) of Silt, Colorado and Michael Zywiec of Omaha; his sisters-in-law, Gerri Majorek (Leo), Kathleen Davis, Pat Zywiec and Donna Zywiec; and his daughter-in-law Mic Zywiec.
In lieu of flowers the family requests any memorials to St. Isidore's Church; Conception Seminary in Conception, Missouri; Christ the King Priory in Schuyler or St. Augustine Indian Mission in Winnebago.
