He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Yates and Mary Katherine Yates; and his wife JoAnn Yates. He is survived by: his sons, Lyle A. Yates (Connie) of Omaha, NE and Randle L. Yates of Shelby, Iowa; his grandchildren, Anthony Prise (Susan), Collin Lewis (Meghan), Vincent Michael (Michelle), Ryan Layne, Jerad Michael and Shaylee Marissa; his sister-in-law Joyce Slezak; and his close friend Mary Kay Wallace. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
