He was predeceased by: his parents, Freeman Bowser and Audrey Bowser (Fike); his brothers, Reginald and Larry; his great grandchild Dayzon Fowler; and his son-in-law Jim Purnell.
He is survived by: his children, Raymond Bowser (Lena) of Muncie, IN and Cathy Purnell of Kokomo; his grandchildren, Shanda Nottingham (Kollin), Shelby Purnell, Austin Purnell (Leslie), Jeremy Bowser (Emily), Jyson Purnell and Zachary Bowser (Alayna); and his great grandchildren, Lavon Bowser, Rayjon Fowler, Adrian Nottingham, Josiah Fowler, Benjamin Hicks, Jr., Kamron Nottingham, Elizabeth Hicks, Mylene Purnell, Alon Purnell, Baylin Purnell and Isaac Bowser. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and all the Primary children.
