It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary J. Baber of Omaha, Nebraska, who passed away on December 17, 2021, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Baber and Loretta Baber. He is survived by: his son Zach; his wife Jeanette; his daughter-in-law Fon; his grandchildren, Subby and Grace; and his siblings, Joyce Johnson (Gus), Judy Dietzschold (Clark), Larry Baber (Sue), Janice Cooklin (Larry), Jeanne Baber and Janel Pluta (Dan). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

“Gary Baber was always my 1st contact for any construction for KETV, when I called him he was always positive and extremely pleasant, after talking to him I was always in a better mood after a call with him as before the call. There was one project for KETV in 2003 where I had a corporate engineer with me and he told me Warren you need to get this done. I called Gary and within 30 minutes we had a crane on-site. My corporate guy said you have a "top shelf contact" to get things done!!!.”
