He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie Lou Walls; his parents, Dorrance Walls and Marilyn Walls; and his brothers, Wayne and Steven Walls.
He is survived by: his daughters, Trisha Phillips and Amy Svoboda (Tim); his grandchildren, Tyson Svoboda (Danielle), Trevor Svoboda (Cassie Florido), Logan Phillips (Dez Ayon-Aguilar) and Hannah Rose Phillips; his great grandchild Gibson Reed Svoboda; his sister Patty McElderry (Ted); and his sister-in-law Melody Walls.
