He was predeceased by: his wife Jane A. Minter; and his parents, Byron H. Minter and Martha E. Minter. He is survived by: his children, Deborah Anne Cliff (Minter), Brian T. Minter and David Minter (Jennifer); his stepchildren, Timothy J. Wiig, Rhea A. Eitmann (Kris) and Jordanna F. Wiig; his grandchildren, Nancy Randall (Dave), Kimberly Schmidt (Joshua), James Coffman (Rebekah), Bobbie Jo Cliff, Naomi Cliff, Jeremiah Cliff, Rachel Leedom (Geoffry) and Aaron Minter (Grace); his stepgrandchildren, Lila A. and Kale A. Eitmann; his great grandchildren, Lennon Schmidt, Marley Schmidt, Bellamy Coffman and Milo Minter; and his friend Phyllis Minter.
He is also a lifetime fellow of the Nebraska State Bar Foundation, where he was bestowed with an Outstanding Legal Educator Award in 1997.
