He was predeceased by: his parents, George Smith and Phyllis Smith (McDowell). He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Smith; his daughter Ashley Smith (Josh Palmer); his grandchildren, Austin Smith, Ashton Leake, Aydin Palmer, Ashlynn Palmer and Andyn Palmer; and his brothers, George Smith Jr. (Kim) and Tom Smith (Sherrie).
