He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Staub and Mabel Staub (Fleek); and his siblings, Twyla Nore (Gilbert), Marion "Bud" Staub (Jo) and Lois Oakes.

He is survived by: his daughter Gina Michelle (Scott) of Seward, NE; his wife Bette Florence Brengelman; his children, Lisa Polak (Dale) of Waterloo, Julie Knowlton (Robin) of Waterloo and Clifton Staub (Linda) of Omaha; and his brother-in-law Robert Oakes. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
