He was predeceased by: his wife Rose Marie Heitkamp; and his great grandchild Briar Jean Reich. He is survived by: his children, Tim Heitkamp, Tammy Kleymann (Kelly), Therese Collignon, Tom Heitkamp (Mary) and Tara Heitkamp. He is also survived by 35 great-grandchildren, along with 2 great-great-granddaughters.
