He is survived by: his wife Margie Nelsen; his children, Seth Nelsen (Jen) and Kelly Mapes (Sam); his grandchildren, Elijah and Talia Nelsen; his brother-in-law Mel Dodenhof; and his close friend Harold Shepherd. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
