She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Tyson and Tressie Tyson (Dutton); her husband Carl Frederick Scherer (Freddie); her sons, Freddie Dean, Rod and Jim Scherer; her daughter-in-law Cindy Scherer; and her sisters, Sue Campbell, Roxie Jones (Merle), Leola Carlson (Roland) and Helen Weiss (Jerome).
She is survived by: her children, Sheryl Scherer of Omaha, Gary Scherer of Lincoln and Carla Chancellor (Rick) of Fredericksburg, Virginia. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
