He was predeceased by: his wife Cynthia Edwards; his parents, Levi Edwards and Mercy Edwards; his siblings, Jack Edwards, George Edwards, Ida Mae Pettigrew and Ruby Edwards; and his daughter Kisha Edwards.

He is survived by: his sons, Derick Bibins and Brian Edwards (LySheryl); and his sisters, Elizabeth Watkins and Mary Traynham. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
