He was predeceased by: his parents, Olive A. Kester and Orville E. Greer; his wife Ruth Virtue Cooper of Fireman's Fair; and his brother Orville E. Greer, Jr.. He is survived by: his sons, James W., Jr. (Karen), Randall D. (Beverly) and Leslie K.; his grandchildren, Justin, James III (Meghan), Buffy Zussman (Mike), Elizabeth Greer (Dustin Waderich) and Anna Nance (David); his great grandchildren, Robert, George Greer, Holden, Libby, Hank Greer, Sydney, Riley Zussman, Henry, Simon Waderich and Murray Nance; and his sister Mary Yenney.
