With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James H. Hinchman of Omaha, Nebraska, who passed away on July 21, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ayers Hinchman and Ruth Hinchman (Sinclair); and his sons, Jeff, Jay and John.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his sister Katie; his brother-in-law John Knickman; his daughters, Julie (Jeff Adams), Jane (Lawrence Whelan) and Jennifer (Marshall Cooney); his grandchildren, Kylie Adams, Drew (Ashley Adams), Darren Adams, Dennis Whelan (Kate Rahel), James (Hannah Whelan), Jackie (Jeremy Warren), Eric (Samantha Whelan), Sidney Whelan (Sean Needham), Sean Whelan, Jon Whelan, Whitney (Edward Johnson) and Kennedy Cooney; and his great grandchildren, Hayden, Avary, Jensen, Finn, Jack, Charlotte, Addy, Reagan, Noah, Millie, Emmy and Alyx.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Roeder Mortuary - 108th Street Chapel (2727 N 108th St, Omaha, NE 68164). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
