He was predeceased by: his wife Marlene; his parents, Florence Stewart and Roger Stewart; and his siblings, Catherine Evans, Mary Eberhard, Janet Doescher, Margaret Shadbolt, Florence Majeski and Roger Stewart.

He is survived by: his sons, Trent Stewart and Bryan Stewart (JulAnn); his grandsons, Joel Kiihne (Jamie), Jared Stewart and Justin Stewart; his great grandchildren, Abram and Lennon; and his friend Barbara Basham.
