She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Sterba Jr.; her siblings, Julie Bizal (Mike), Kathleen Norris (Bill), Mary Herek and Tom Herek; and her sister-in-law Gen Herek.
She is survived by: her children, Paul Sterba (Lisa) and Susan McLaughlin (Mike); her grandchildren, Isabelle, Delaney Sterba, Katie Logan (Josh) and Owen McLaughlin (Jordyn); her siblings, Joe Herek and Colleen Tetreault; and her sister-in-law Sue Herek. She is also survived by Nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Korisko Larkin Staskiewicz Funeral Home (5108 F St, Omaha, NE 68117). A vigil service will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Assumption Catholic Church (5434 S 22nd St, Omaha, NE 68107).
