He was predeceased by: his father Harold Barnett; his brother Patrick Barnett; and his grandparents, Gus Kragel, Clara Kragel and Lovey Emmons.
He is survived by: his mother Myrna Kragel of Wheatland, WY; his siblings, Curtis Barnett (Zhanna) of Homosassa, FL and Sandra Rice of Wheatland, WY; and his sister-in-law Kelly Barnett of Charlottesville, VA. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Wounded Warrior Project or the Brain Trauma Foundation.
