She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Aukland and Ivy Aukland (Heathecote). She is survived by: her daughter Sharon Flock (Russ); her grandchildren, Nikki Graser (Toby), Jessica Flock and Kelsey Flock; and her great grandchildren, Natalie, Preslie, McCoy, Knox, McKenzie, Alexander, Leland and Brynlee.

The family requests memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital in honor of Joan.
