With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joe Ruth (Omaha, Nebraska), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Ruth; his grandson Tobin Ruth; and his son-in-law Ernesto "Ernie" Buenrostro. He is survived by: his children, Cathy "Lulu" Buenrostro, Joe "Joey" Ruth (Kerry) and Manuel "Tony" Ruth (Kerri); and his brother Eli Ruth of Brownsville, Texas.. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home (5701 Center St, Omaha, NE 68106). A rosary was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (2310 O St, Omaha, NE 68107).
In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to the Eastern Nebraska Veterans' Home.
