He was predeceased by: his parents, John Herman Alfers Sr. and Florence Alfers; his brother Bernard Alfers; his daughter Debbie; and his son-in-law Greg Busch.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his daughters, Joanie Alfers and Julie Alfers Busch (Greg); his grandchildren, Heather Mahloch, Holly Day (Curtis), Joseph Mahloch (Deborah), Josh Busch and Cassidy Pospisil (Adam); and his great grandchildren, C. J., Orion, Maddie, Aeden, Levi, Cody and Emersyn.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Leo Catholic Church, Madonna School and Huntington's Disease Society of America.
