With sadness, we share the passing of John Jack Skrocky in Omaha, Nebraska. John Jack, born on November 29, 1943 in Troy, New York, passed away on September 3, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Martha; his parents, John J. Skrocky, and Ann Skrocky, Sr. (Yurkiewicz); and his sister Lorraine. He is survived by: his nieces, Bonnie V. Bailey of Fallbrook, CA and Amanda VanDenburgh (Barbara Yunker) of Huntington Beach, CA; his sister-in-law Carol Welty Roper (Phil) of Chugiak, Alaska; his nieces, Jennifer Bowers (Isaac) of Bakersfield, CA and Christina Roper Prevost (Venice) of San Bruno, CA; his nephew Andrew Beuch (Libby) of Rock Hill, SC; and his extended family, Cathy Burgess, Linda Ohri, Mike Fitzpatrick, Sean Fitzpatrick, Ramona Hunt (Hawthorne House Community) and Lynn Sedlacek.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Street Chapel (1010 N 72nd St, Omaha, NE 68114). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the John A. Gentleman Mortuaries 72nd Chapel (1010 N 72nd St, Omaha, NE 68114).
