He was predeceased by: his daughters, Debra and Therese Zuerlein; his great grandchild Peytyn Charvat; and his son-in-law Jamie Leavitt. He is survived by: his wife Cecelia; and his children, Rose Leavitt, Jacquie O'Neill (Tom), Joni Hickman (Rob), Katie Galloway (Pat) and John Zuerlein (Jeff Hinchee). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren. 25 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed by the family.
