He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Patras and Elsie Patras (Kramer); his siblings, Lester Patras (Ruth), Ray Patras (Marge), Imo Mann (Merrill), Janet Van Slyke (Bill) and Evelyn Wildauer (James); and his siblings-in-law, Arlene Nippert (Willard), Verneal Barber (Charlie), Hope Nippert, Richard Schnuelle (Jean), Herman Neumann and Conrad Lawrence.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine; his children, Patricia Cummings of Omaha and Steven Patras (Gretchen) of Elkhorn; his grandchildren, Lauren Patras of Evanston, IL, Jace Patras of Scottsdale, AZ and Jennae Patras; and his sisters-in-law, Joyce Neumann of DeWitt, NE and Janet Lawrence of Henderson, NV. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorials, to be designated later as an honorable tribute to John's life.
