He was predeceased by: his wife Rachel; his parents, Joseph Sr. Randolph and Inez Lucille Randolph (Wilmot); and his brothers, Richard, Robert (Kay) and Gene (Berniece).

He is survived by: his children, Denise Richards (Galen), Joe III (Leslie Laux) and Mike (Lynn). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
