He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Pierson and Margaret Ann Pierson; his brother Jimmy Pierson; and his father-in-law Dean Heller. He is survived by: his wife Pamela "Pam" Pierson; his son Daniel "Danny" Pierson; his brothers, Mike (Kari), Bob (Lesley) and Kevin Pierson (Michele); his mother-in-law Cheryl Heller (Cheri); and his brothers, Rick (Alisa) and Andy (Matt Heller). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
