It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Elaine Dohmen in Omaha, Nebraska, born in Salem, Illinois, who passed away on February 19, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Fred Dohmen. She is survived by: her children, Tamara Cox (Patrick), Anthony Dohmen (Debbie) and Debra Schroeder (Tom); her grandchildren, Megan, Amanda, Joshua, Jared, Jacob, Mallory and Abigail; and her sister Judith. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for school supplies (ie. pencils, crayons, glue sticks, expo markers, etc.) to be donated to a local elementary school in honor of Karen.
