He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Kowalewski and Zita Kowalewski (Goc); his brother Karl Kowalewski; and his son Kyle Kowalewski. He is survived by: his wife Martha Kowalewski; his daughter Ashley Kowalewski; his son-in-law Tanner Weeast; his son Ben Kowalewski; his daughter-in-law Michelle Ruszin; his siblings, Kathy Thompson, Kelly and Kim Kowalewski; and his grandchildren, Freya and Zack. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bethany Funeral Home & Cremation Service (8201 Harrison St, La Vista, NE 68128). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Columbkille Catholic Church (200 E Sixth St, Papillion, NE 68046). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Omaha National Cemetery (14250 Schram Rd, Omaha, NE 68138).
