He was predeceased by: his father-in-law Jerry Holtmeier (Sharon). He is survived by: his parents, James Pinkerton (Judy Collins) of Lincoln and Dianne Pinkerton (Keefover) of Lincoln; his wife Tiffani Holtmeier; his children, Caden, Lucas and Riley Pinkerton; his mother-in-law Barb Ebke (Rod) of Harbine; his brother Chris Pinkerton (Jen Vrtiska) of Beatrice; his siblings-in-law, Troy Holtmeier of Galveston, Texas and Tori Holtmeier (Jason Sheppard) of Austin, Texas; and his nephews, Sebastian Holtmeier, Maddux Pinkerton and Holt Sheppard. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family's choice in care of the mortuary.
