He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell McGee and Nelle McGee; his in-laws, Marvin and Jean Larsen; and his brother-in-law Alan Larsen.
He is survived by: his wife Diane McGee (Schnitzer); his daughters, Susan Sutton (Robert) and Sarah Allen (Todd); his grandchildren, Kortni Hupp (AJ), Taylor and Marisa Sutton; his former wife Judy McGee; his stepsons, Alex Schnitzer (Nicole) and Brett Schnitzer (Melanie); his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kora, Callen, Alec, Brandon, Lilly, Brady and Allie Schnitzer; and his sister-in-law Jeani Larsen.
A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Gude Mortuary (403 S 9th St, Nebraska City, NE 68410). A graveside service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Omaha National Cemetery (14250 Schram Rd, Omaha, NE 68138).
