She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph Palik and Rose Palik (Voboril); her former life partners, Rueben David Schreiber and Roger Stokebrand; her husband Robert C. McAuliffe; her son Alan; and her siblings, Milo and Alice.

She is survived by : her daughters, Diane Ptacek (Steve) of Omaha and Karen Schreiber (Steve Ryder) of Urbana; her grandchildren, Matthew Ptacek (Gayle Fude), Greg Ptacek (Kelly) of Wayne, Beth Rule (Jesse) of Westmoreland and Daniel Schreiber of Omaha; her great grandchildren, Alexis, Rayne, Crispin, Liesel, Felicity, Gideon Ptacek, Warren and Carson Rule; her daughter-in-law Nancy Claassen (Nathan) of Hickman; and her sister-in-law Marilyn Buhl (Schreiber) of York.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (580 I St, David City, NE 68632). A rosary was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (580 I St, David City, NE 68632). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (580 I St, David City, NE 68632).
