He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Bern and Josephine Bern (Woita). He is survived by: his brother Carl; his sister-in-law Nancy Bern; and his sibling's children, Thomas, Steven Bern (Mari) and Susanna Carlton (Nathan). He is also survived by extended family and friends.
