He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Vanderloo and Thelma Vanderloo; his brother Robert Vanderloo; his daughter Peggy Luther; and his grandson Zach Luther.

He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Mark Vanderloo (Jessica) and Molly Vanderloo; his son-in-law Greg Luther; his children, Tim Vanderloo (Pam), Susan Thaden (Rick), Christopher Vanderloo (Laura) and Matthew Vanderloo (Hanna); his grandchildren, Mark Vanderloo, Julia Vanderloo, Darius Aruna, Kai Aruna, Jake Luther, Alexa Luther, Alec Vanderloo (Molly), Natalie Vanderloo, Lauren Gardner (Sean), Grace Thaden, Katherine Thaden, Jack Vanderloo, Will Vanderloo, Willa Vanderloo, Rowan Vanderloo and Frances Vanderloo; and his great grandchild Leo Gardner.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to St. Cecilia Cathedral, Stephen Center, Food Bank of the Heartland, and Christ the King Catholic Church.
