She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruby Copenhaver (Steinhoff) and Burton Copenhaver; and her sister Karen Minks. She is survived by: her husband Charles A. Ruhga (Chuck) of Omaha, NE; her children, Sharri (Kevin Logsdon) of Hoover, AL, Vicki (Doug Westerhaus) of Overland Park, KS and Mark Ruhga (Katie) of Gretna, NE; her sister Janet Shamburg (Tom) of Lincoln, NE.; her grandchildren, Kyle Logsdon (Maria), Blake Logsdon (Kathy Watson), Cole Logsdon (Gillian), David Westerhaus, Nicholas Westerhaus, Madison Ruhga, Makenna Ruhga and Preston Ruhga; and her great grandchildren, Gabriella, Andrea and Saúl. She is also survived by her step- grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Messiah Lutheran Church (5015 S 80th St, Ralston, NE 68127). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery (2300 S 78th St, Omaha, NE 68124).
